Vilnius-headquartered MELP, a startup specializing in digital employee well-being management, has secured EUR 635k in early seed stage investment to support its international expansion. The funding comes from a 23 business angel syndicate formed by NGL, venture capital fund Coinvest Capital, and notable angel investors. MELP, founded by Vidmantas Šiugždinis, Robertas Šaltis, and Juozas Sargūnas, focuses on addressing global concerns regarding employee retention by offering a platform that helps companies enhance employee care, engagement, and loyalty.
MELP's platform not only allows companies to host employee benefits but also empowers employees to choose from a selection of over 6,000 goods and services available in the international e-shop as their preferred form of motivation. The CEO emphasized that employers can decide the value or category of benefits, leaving team members to choose specific services or suppliers. The platform, widely used by medium and large organizations, facilitates convenient reward management, recognition program creation, internal communication improvement, and increased employee engagement.
The platform, represented by the acronym MELP (Medical services, Employee benefits, Lifestyle & Longevity, and Protection), currently serves more than 16,000 employees and holds ISO 27001 certification for information security.
